Plasma separation card as an alternative sampling method for quantitative HCV RNA testing with high comparability to EDTA plasma
The World Health Organization recommends simplified diagnostic methods to facilitate HCV RNA testing access in decentralized settings, e.g., facilitating specimen stability in extreme conditions. This study evaluated the clinical utility of dried plasma spots collected with the Cobas Plasma Separation Card (PSC) as an alternative to EDTA plasma for HCV RNA detection and quantification using the Cobas HCV assay.
