Impact of race/ethnicity on total costs of care and healthcare resource utilization among commercially insured patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer in the United States (US)
This retrospective cohort study of female adults with metastatic TNBC investigated the impact of race/ethnicity on healthcare costs and healthcare resource utilization (HRU) and whether the association is mediated by income or education level. This study used commercial claims from IQVIA PharMetrics® Plus database linked with Experian Consumer Marketing data where race/ethnicity, annual household income, and education level variables were obtained. All-cause healthcare costs and HRU were described and compared across three cohorts (White, Black, or Other).
